THE JOURNEY

Akani Vunwe Development

• What do we do?
We seek out possible employment for the ex-inmates of Gauteng, one-two time small offences only.

• The process:
Our ex-inmates are supervised and their progress track recorded by our volunteers, therefore to ensure risk limitation toward the employer each ex-inmate will have their own volunteer.

• What does the volunteer gain?
A certificate of voluntary services as well as other sponsored training programs, this varies according to the sponsors.

• What does the ex-inmate gain?
A certificate of reference that they are redeemed as functional in a working environment, according to their skills we also offer varied training and we are currently working on a presidential pardon as well as a life skills program that aims at re-shaping said ex-inmates thinking process.

• What does the employer gain?

A chance to contribute to the lowering of their tax bracket as well as a unique and never before contribution toward their Corporate Social Responsibility and/or Investment.

• What are we asking you for?
Your support as we seek to change the province, country, continent and eventually the world.
